“Adolescent Echo” is an interactive installation of birdhouses that repeat short phrases that are spoken into them. The birdhouses symbolize a place to raise a family and they’re painted in vibrant colors to represent youthfulness. This artwork is inspired by the impact adult’s words have on youth. Children are like sponges, always listening and repeating what they see and hear. The artist hopes that this artwork inspires adults to be mindful of their words and the influence they have on children.
